Wie kurz vor dem Jahreswechsel bekannt wurde, lieferte Zalman wohl einige defekte Modelle ihres neuen VF-700Cu /AlCu VGA Coolers, den wir frisch im Test haben, aus. Demnach handelt es sich um beschädigte Schrauben der Lüftermontageplatte. Laut eigenen Angaben ist man aber dabei, die betroffenen Modelle aus dem Verkehr zu ziehen. Sollte man sich beim Kauf versehentlich auf ein solches Exemplar eingelassen haben, besteht natürlich sofortiges Umtauschrecht, wenngleich sich der Defekt in keiner Weise auf die Leistung auswirkt - schön ist es natürlich trotzdem nicht :o)

"Some early shipments of the VF700-AlCu/Cu contained several cases in which the bolthead of the bolt that secures the fan support was found to have broken off. We are cooperating with distributors to prevent such products from being sold. If no more than one bolt head among the 4 bolts is broken off, it will not affect performance.

We are taking every measure to prevent damaged products from being sold. Users that have already purchased a bolthead damaged VF700-AlCu/Cu can have it replaced with a normal VF700-AlCu/Cu at the nearest Zalman distributor. You can check the distributor contact info. at the 'Where to Buy' section on the upper side of this screen."
